Plan Your Next Three Social Posts From One Customer Question

Turn one customer question into three useful social posts: a direct answer, a practical example, and a checklist. Use this simple planning worksheet.

Plan Your Next Three Social Posts From One Customer Question

You need something useful to post, but starting with a blank calendar makes every idea feel like a new project. Try starting with a question instead.

Choose something a customer recently asked about your service. A good question is specific enough to answer clearly and relevant to someone considering your business. You can turn it into three different posts without repeating the same sales pitch.

Post one: give the direct answer

Write the question in your customer's language. Then answer it before adding background information.

For example, a portrait photographer might hear, “What should I bring to my session?” The first post could explain which clothing options to bring, what to leave at home, and which details to confirm with the photographer beforehand.

Keep the advice specific to how your business works. If the answer depends on a package or appointment type, say so. Finish with one next step, such as saving the preparation list.

Post two: show an example

Make the answer easier to picture. For the photographer, this could be a simple flat-lay of a bag prepared for a session, with a caption explaining why each item is useful.

Use your own media or material you have permission to use. If the example is illustrative, label it that way. You do not need to invent a customer story or claim a result to make a post useful.

Give this post a different job from the first. The first explains what to do; the second shows what it looks like.

Post three: make a checklist

Turn the advice into something a reader can use before taking the next step.

For the same photography example:

  • Confirm your appointment details.
  • Choose clothing that suits the session.
  • Pack the items your photographer requested.
  • Check the location and arrival instructions.
  • Ask about anything you are unsure of before the appointment.

Adapt the list to your service rather than copying it as a universal rule. A checklist for a bookkeeper, consultant or home-service business will look different.

Give each draft a place in your plan

For each post, write down five things: the reader's question, the main point, the media you need, the next step for the reader, and the intended publishing date.

Review the three together. Remove repeated openings and make sure each post adds something. Space them around other relevant business updates instead of treating the sequence as a requirement to post on consecutive days.

Postrillo brings caption drafts, media and publishing plans into one workspace. You can use it to organize the work behind your next posts. Available tools, channels and limits vary by plan.

Your three-post worksheet

Customer question: What does someone need to understand before working with us?

Direct answer: Explain the decision or preparation step.

Example: Show an approved image, demonstration or clearly labeled illustration.

Checklist: Give the reader a short set of actions they can use.

Start with one question today. You do not need a month of ideas before making your next three posts useful.
